Job Description - Chamber Choir Coordinator

TITLE:   Chamber Choir Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of Instrumental & Voice (IVI) Instruction
DEPARTMENT: Instrumental & Voice (IVI) Instruction
STATUS:   Non-Exempt, Part Time (5 hours/week)
LOCATION: Minneapolis, On-Site
COMPENSATION:   $20.00/Hour

JOB SUMMARY
The Chamber Choir Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Choir Director and MacPhail Center for Music’s Choral program needs.

RESPONSIBILITES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administrative

Assemble & distribute music, folders, and name tags
Take & document attendance of choral members
Creating & maintaining seating charts
Create & send set-up requests to Facilities
Communicate with Marketing
Regular information communication with choral members
Document rehearsal agenda items for those unable to attend
Communication with Front Desk Staff

Rehearsal Management

Coordinate auditions
Coordinate performance assessments
Assist Director with rehearsal management, as needed

Outreach

Seek out opportunities for community involvement

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

None

Experience

Chamber Choir participant for at least one season, preferred

Skills & Abilities

Strong communication skills
Strong organizational skills
