Child Watch Associate (Part-Time)

Do you enjoy working with children? Are you available Monday through Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 12 pm?

The Boroughs Family Branch of the YMCA of Central Massachusetts is looking for caring and dependable Child Watch Staff who possess initiative, strong communications skills and human relation skills for interaction with members, youth and parents.

The successful candidate is responsible for providing a safe and fun environment for Y children and their families, able to reflect and display the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Requirements: 

• Must be able to provide care and interact with children and youth in a positive manner
• Must be at least 16 years of age
•  CPR/AED certified for children and infants 
• Able to become thoroughly familiar with the program guidelines and procedures after hire for the position

**Prefer applicants with experience in working with children aged 3 months to 12 years old

Currently looking for caring, fun, and compassionate individuals who are available for any or all of the following shifts:  

Weekly regular shifts

• Mondays & Tuesdays from 8:00am-12:00pm on both days

Weekly regular shifts

Monday-Thursday nights, 4-8 pm. Saturdays and Sundays, 8 am-12 pm.

Looking for staff to be able to do all of those shifts on a weekly basis

Weekly shifts start the week of June 16th and go through Aug. 24th. Different shifts are available for the school year schedule after Aug. 24th. Training shifts start June 3rd. Possibility to be a Child Watch sub before weekly shifts start and after training is complete.

Pay: $15.00 per hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
