Guidance Preparatory Academy of Bartonville is a licensed childcare center seeking a Floater/Housekeeper to support all age groups!

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Compensation: $18 - $20 an hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Willingness to effectively substitute for any position as needed. This includes covering staff members’ breaks, filling in for staff members in their absences, and assuming the classroom duties of staff members before or after their scheduled shifts.

• Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff.
• Operate as a team player and willingness to help where needed under the director of the lead teacher. 

• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• You will be responsible to clean the restrooms, mopping the tiled areas in each classroom as well as vacuuming carpeted areas.
• Sweep the lobby and hallways as well as gathering and taking the trash out at the end of the night.
• Dust/clean windows and ledges and down the hallways one to two times per week.
