Children's Sports and Fitness Assistant Coach (Tuesday - Friday)

Position: Head Coach

Location: Chino, Chino Hills, Diamond Bar

Shift: Mornings and/or Afternoons

Pay: $24–$35 per hour. New Head coaches begin at $24/hour during the training phase, with a clear pathway to $35/hour upon successful completion of training and readiness to lead classes independently as a Head Coach.

Part-time Role: 5 hours/week to start, with potential to grow

Bonus: If you have Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, we offer an extra pay incentive to recognize your qualifications and expertise!

Amazing Athletes is the country's most popular educational sports program for children ages 18m to 10yrs and offers class year round. We believe that every child is an athlete and we want to help them learn the fundamentals of sports, learn healthy habits and become more confident all while having fun! Schedule:

Candidates must have availability Tuesday through Friday between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, as this is when the majority of our classes are held.

There may also be occasional needs for afternoon availability on those same days between 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, though this is infrequent.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist lead coaches during classes at various schools
• Lead classes when needed and teach in a fun and structured way that covers the curriculum
• Show up to classes on time and prepared to coach
• Engage with children to create a positive learning environment
• Interact with teachers, parents and directors on a regular basis
• Understanding responsibilities while children are under your supervision and ensuring their safety
• Learn the Amazing Athletes curriculum and coaching techniques

• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to local schools with your own reliable transportation to the below cities:
• Chino
• Chino Hills
• Diamond Bar
• Candidates must be willing and able to travel to the following cities for training: Diamond Bar, Walnut, Rowland Heights, Hacienda Heights, and Whittier. Training will take place at various schools within these areas.
• Must have a reliable vehicle with sufficient space to transport athletic equipment
• Must be able to store equipment securely between classes to prevent damage or theft
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Enthusiasm for sports and working with young children
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliability and punctuality are needed
• Prior experience with teaching children, sports or fitness is a plus!
