Cleaners

Position: Cleaning Team Member
Direct Report: Facilities Supervisor
Location: Fountain Campus
Hours: Part-Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and functions, as outlined herein, are intended to be representative of the type of tasks performed within this classification. They are not listed in any order of importance. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Cleans and sanitizes all areas of the church, including restrooms, offices, classrooms, sanctuary, hallways, and common spaces.


• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and dusts floors, carpets, furniture, and surfaces.


• Cleans glass walls, doors, mirrors, and windows throughout the facility.


• Empties trash receptacles, transports waste to disposal areas, and ensures recycling protocols are followed.


• Restocks supplies in restrooms and other designated areas.


• Disinfects high-touch surfaces to maintain a safe and healthy environment.


• Reports any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the Facilities Supervisor.


• Ensures cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored properly.


• Assists with setup and breakdown of spaces for services, events, and meetings as needed.


• Performs other related cleaning duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

CONDUCT

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Minimum five (5) years of professional cleaning, janitorial, or custodial experience required.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, techniques, and safe use of cleaning chemicals.


• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.


• Must be detail-oriented and able to follow cleaning schedules.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Must successfully pass a background check.


• Must have reliable transportation to and from the campus.
  

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a PART-TIME position (15–20 hours per week), with required availability during evenings and weekends. Must be willing to work in conditions of stress and function well under pressure.

PHYSICAL and SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

Tasks involve the ability to exert physical effort in light to moderate work, including a combination of standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting (up to 30 pounds). May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, dust, and varying temperatures. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and operate cleaning equipment safely.
