Clinic Assistant (Part Time)

Atlanta Classical Academy seeks a part-time School Nurse Clinic Assistant. The Clinic Assistant will be responsible for on-campus support of the School Nurse. The time commitment for this role is between 15-20 hours per week.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assists School Nurse with caring for the health needs of students and staff
• Staffs the clinic and fills in for School Nurse when unavailable or dealing with other needs. 
• Properly and safely administer medications including monitoring and care of diabetes
• Completes other tasks as assigned by and under the supervision of the school nurse. 
• Must adhere to FERPA and HIPAA guidelines

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Current Certification in AED and CPR required
• One year of related work experience required; two years of nursing experience/training with children preferred

About Atlanta Classical Academy:

Atlanta Classical Academy is an open-enrollment, public charter school open to students who reside within the Atlanta Public Schools district. The school opened in 2014 with grades K – 8, and has added a grade each year as students have advanced. It is now a K – 12 academy. The children of full-time employees have enrollment preference and would be offered a seat in the school.
