Clinical Assistant (Part-Time)

Description

North Mississippi Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Clinical Assistant to join our Corinth team. This individual will play a key role in providing exceptional care to our patients by supporting the surgical team and maintaining a safe, organized clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist chairside during surgical procedures, passing instruments and anticipating needs.
• Set up and sterilize surgical trays and instruments following OSHA and HIPAA standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of procedure rooms.
• Perform X-rays and 3D imaging.
• Stock and organize rooms and labs with necessary supplies.
• Support post-operative care, including seating patients, placing dry socket dressings, and suture removal as directed.
• Review post-op care instructions with patients and their families.
• Scan and check patient documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare exam rooms and complete patient intake paperwork. 

Requirements

• 1+ years or Oral Surgery, Dental, or Medical experience is required. 
• Current Radiology Certificate.
• Current BLS/CPR Certification.
• Solid understanding of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterilization procedures.
• Knowledge of emergency protocols and post-operative care.
• Ability to independently manage tasks and adapt in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  

Clinical & Technical Skills

• Proficient with basic office equipment: computer, telephone, fax, copier
• Skilled in the use and care of dental and surgical equipment including:
• Autoclave, Panorex, Electrosurg, Processor, Curing light, Laser, Duplicator
• Oxygen & Nitrous tanks, Statim, Model trimmer, Handpieces, Ultrasonic
