CNA/HHA - Ormond, Daytona, Port Orange

Preferred Care at Home of Coastal Volusia, a nationwide senior care company, is seeking qualified candidates in the Volusia County area. We provide 1-on-1 care for seniors in their home or wherever they call home, to perform services that are needed, allowing them to age in place with dignity and grace.

Personal Care Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Help clients with daily activities, including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, serving meals, helping clients eat, turning clients and ambulating clients

  
  


• 
  

  Take vital signs

  
  


• 
  

  Drive clients to doctor's appointments or grocery shopping

  
  


• 
  

  Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members

  
  


• 
  

  Lift clients into beds, wheelchairs, exam tables, etc. using proper lifting techniques

  
  


• 
  

  Clean and sanitize client areas, including changing bed sheets

  
  


• 
  

  Stay up-to-date on training, policies and procedures

  
  

Requirements:

• 
  

  21 years or older with a High school diploma or GED

  
  


• Driver's license


• 
  

  Certified Nursing Assistant license (CNA) or HHA certification training course

  
  


• 
  

  Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification 

  
  


• 
  

  HIV/AIDs certificate + 1-hr ADRD + 2-hr ADRD certificate (HHA only)

  
  


• 
  

  Level 2 background check on file or the ability to pass one

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to think and work independently and with direction

  
  


• 
  

  Good communication skills and bedside manner with a compassionate personality

  
  

Weekly schedule:

• Weekend availability (preferred)


• Rotating weekends


• Day shifts


• Night shifts


• Overnights
