CNC Operator (Evening Shift)

What You'll Do:

• Responsible for Computer Numerically Controlled machines (i.e. generate, edit, troubleshoot and verify CNC Programs) utilizing CNC technology by means of programming, setup, and operating a CNC machine.


• Operate a CNC machine to produce parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. (Challenge Mfg. Company offers newer and well-kept CNC equipment in a climate controlled environment. Equipment includes Haas CNC Mills and Mitsubishi Wire EDM)


• Inspect, verify and replace as needed tooling utilized in the CNC work center.


• Calculate, record and enter into the control the appropriate offsets for each tool.


• Maintain the appropriate production records in Plexus.


• Maintain the appropriate maintenance records in Plexus.


• Perform general (i.e. routine) maintenance of the equipment fluid levels and lubrication points


• Mastercam Programming preferred

When and Where:

This will be a 2nd or 3rd shift position, located at our plant in Richmond, KY. This position will train on 1st shift, 6:00AM-2:30PM Monday - Friday.

What You Need to Have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, some college or technical school preferred.


• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.


• Must have a minimum of two years' work experience as a CNC Programmer or Machinist / Operator.


• Tool and Die experience or training strongly preferred


• Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
