About the Role:


This is a temporary, part-time opportunity to support our Carlsbad location while a valued team member is on leave. The Community Associate is the heartbeat of Kiln, acting as the first point of contact for members and guests. This role ensures the community runs smoothly, maintains high occupancy, and fosters a collaborative and engaging environment. The Community Manager is on-site Monday through Friday during established working hours and may occasionally work outside these hours for events or special needs.

  • Ensure seamless operations and an exceptional member experience

  • Drive occupancy and sales growth through thoughtful engagement and strategic selling



As Community Associate, You Will:


Create & Cultivate Community



  • Be the welcoming face of Kiln, ensuring a warm and professional experience for members and guests

  • Build relationships with members, understanding their needs and connecting them with opportunities

  • Manage daily community interactions, fostering engagement through thoughtful touchpoints

  • Facilitate member onboarding, including orientations, welcome kits, and platform access



Drive Sales & Membership Growth



  • Serve as the first point of contact for membership inquiries, conducting tours and explaining Kiln’s value

  • Manage the sales pipeline, generate proposals, and execute membership agreements

  • Work closely with the Community Director on pricing, negotiating strategies, and revenue growth

  • Conduct member check-ins and renewal conversations to drive retention and upsell opportunities



Enhance Operations & Member Experience



  • Oversee front-desk operations, ensuring smooth check-ins, mail distribution, and guest management

  • Manage the maintenance ticketing portal and liaise with janitorial staff to maintain a polished space

  • Ensure seamless office move-ins and move-outs, including office inspections and space preparation

  • Monitor and replenish site supplies, ensuring business center and marketplace needs are met



Curate Events & Programming



  • Plan and execute community events that foster engagement and networking

  • Oversee calendar bookings and assist with event setup and breakdown

  • Manage daily member snacks and coordinate food and beverage needs for special events

  • Support marketing efforts by promoting events and community initiatives through email, Slack, and signage


 


As Community Associate, You’ll Need:



  • A warm, people-focused personality with a strong customer service mindset

  • Experience in hospitality, coworking, or a similar community-focused role

  • Strong sales acumen and comfort with outreach, tours, and closing deals

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage daily operations

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with members and stakeholders

  • Ability to problem-solve and handle challenges with professionalism and efficiency

  • Passion for Kiln’s mission and values, with a desire to foster a thriving community
