Job Title: Community Engagement Manager
Reports to: Community Manager

DTN is a 50 year old vertically integrated real estate firm based in Lansing, MI. We are one of Michigan’s largest and well respected construction, development and ownership companies of multifamily real estate properties. Through our development and operations team, DTN seeks to create and deliver unique experiences for those choosing a DTN home or apartment. As the Community Engagement Manager, you will influence and guide the experience for those that visit a DTN owned or managed community.

Job Summary

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing professional to serve as our Community Engagement Manager. This role is all about building relationships with local businesses and creating brand awareness in the surrounding community. You’ll be the face of our property in the neighborhood – forming key partnerships, driving foot traffic, and promoting our Preferred Employer Program (PEP) which includes exclusive perks for local employees.

As a Community Engagement Manager, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Identify and establish relationships with local businesses and organizations
  • Promote our Preferred Employer Program offering a 2% rental discount and waived security deposit
  • Distribute marketing materials and build awareness of our brand in the community
  • Coordinate and attend networking events, business expos, or local happenings
  • Set up pop-ups or tables at partner locations to engage with potential residents
  • Track outreach efforts, leads generated, and conversion success
Core Candidate Qualities:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter who enjoys connecting with new people and businesses
  • Marketing, leasing, or sales background preferred
  • Comfortable representing the brand independently in the community
  • Organized, proactive, and results-oriented
  • Can do attitude and collaborative mindset – We all succeed by working as a team
  • An eye for detail – Our properties and team members are representing the DTN brand
  • Desire to provide great customer outcomes
  • Proficient with computers and various software platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using industry software is preferred
  • Reliable transportation to get to work daily and conduct daily job responsibilities
Benefits:
  • DTN does not currently offer benefits for Part Time employees

Expected Schedule: Monday – Friday (Part Time: 18-20 hrs/week)
