Community Enhancement Worker-Part Time

The City of Bowie is accepting applications for a part time Community Enhancement Worker. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for removing illegally placed signs throughout the City of Bowie. Worker will also be responsible for trash/litter removal, including shopping carts, and graffiti removal on public property within the City of Bowie, with the goal  of improving the City’s aesthetics and positively impacting resident’s quality of life.  Must be able to communicate well with residents, property owners and others encountered during their daily work.  Work will involve climbing in and out of a vehicle repetitively with the ability to follow established safety protocols and working outside in inclement weather. Usually work will be performed on weekend mornings and range from 3-8 hours per week as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• One year of work experience in traffic direction or diversion.


• Capability of removing objects with significant weight and resistance.


• Litter cleanup and ground maintenance.


• Possession of a valid driver’s license


• Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays

SALARY:   $18.79 Hourly
