Job Description - Companion Caregiver

Benefits:

We are looking for a compassionate and patient caregiver to work with a friendly male client who has Down Syndrome, intellectual disabilities, hypothyroidism, and anxiety. This is a companion position focused on helping the client become more social, active, and independent in the community.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting the client in engaging with others and building friendships

Assisting with community outings and social activities

Helping improve money management skills

Encouraging participation in hobbies like bowling, basketball, and golf

Promoting confidence and independence in daily interactions

Qualifications:

Must pass a Level 2 background check

Must have or be willing to obtain CPR certification

Previous experience with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities is preferred but not required

Schedule:

Part-time, 10 hours per week

Days and times are flexible and will be determined based on availability

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
