Always Best Care of Fairfax provides client-centered, personalized care to all of our clients. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate care professional to join our team and provide meaningful support to a client receiving hospice care at home.

Position Overview

We are looking for a gentle, empathetic, and experienced CNA to provide in-home support for a client who is now receiving end-of-life care following a period of cancer treatment. This part-time role offers the opportunity to bring comfort, dignity, and peace to someone in their final chapter of life.

The ideal candidate will have a calm and nurturing presence, with experience in hospice or palliative care. Responsibilities include personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, and emotional support—all delivered with sensitivity, respect, and compassion.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide gentle, respectful personal care tailored to the client’s comfort and needs


• Offer companionship and emotional support to both the client and their family


• Assist with daily living activities, including mobility support and hygiene


• Maintain a peaceful and supportive environment in the home


• Collaborate with hospice professionals and family members to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Preferred Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with active license in the state of Virginia


• Experience in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care preferred


• Compassionate, patient, and emotionally attuned to the needs of clients and families


• Physically able to assist with transfers using gait belts or other mobility aids


• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
