Compassionate In Home Caregiver l Several Evenings Per Week

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate caregiver to provide in-home support for an elderly client living with their spouse in a residential apartment setting. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and experienced in providing care for individuals with mobility challenges and cognitive or sensory limitations.

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday 5pm-9:30pm

$23 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous safety supervision and fall prevention support


• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, toileting, and personal care


• Support safe ambulation using a walker and assist with wheelchair use when leaving the home


• Encourage engagement through light activities such as crafts, conversation, and short walks


• Communicate clearly and effectively, adapting to hearing impairments as needed (e.g., written communication)


• Assist with incontinence care, including monitoring and changing as needed


• Provide companionship and emotional support


• Maintain a calm, patient, and supportive environment


• Follow all care instructions and safety protocols, including awareness of medical conditions and emergency documentation

Client Overview:

• Requires supervision at all times due to fall risk and frailty


• Diagnosed with arthritis and osteoporosis


• Uses a walker for mobility and a wheelchair for outings


• Wears hearing aids and glasses


• Enjoys light activities and benefits from consistent engagement


• Takes daily afternoon rest periods

Qualifications:

• Previous caregiving experience preferred, especially with elderly clients


• Experience with fall-risk clients and mobility assistance


• Patient, dependable, and attentive to detail


• Ability to communicate effectively and adapt to client needs


• Comfortable providing personal and incontinence care

Additional Information:

• Care is provided in a private apartment setting


• Caregiver must follow building protocols for entry and sign-in


• Emergency and medical documentation will be available on-site
