Competitive Team Coach | Part Time

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to handle all day-to-day operations of the FlipStar Competitive Team Program. This position is responsible for the development and growth of the CTP (Competitive Team Program) and involves all aspects of working with competitive programing: staff, scheduling, operations, and customer service. CTP Coaches are expected to instruct gymnastics at the highest quality with a focus on development, safety, techniques, and progress.

Incoming competitive coaches will be required to support our recreational program to ensure the proper development of our future athletes.

All competitive staff will need certifications from USAG, Safe-Sport, CPR, CDC Concussion Training, and the FlipStar Foundations Certification for new coaches.

Qualifications

• Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. along with email, iClass Pro, Google Workplace Suite, and any other technology needed for the gymnastics industry


• Specialized knowledge of team, and recreational programs and leadership/supervision


• Minimum of 3 years experience (2+ competitive seasons) as a USAG Woman's Artistic Gymnastics Program Coach
  


• Recreational coaching experience


• Ability to multitask


• Outgoing, friendly personality. Must like to work in a family friendly environment


• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR and other required, pertinent certifications following onboarding and orientation

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

This position will require working mostly evenings. This position will involve coaching, spotting, seated desk work, janitorial duties, and moving equipment. This position requires the ability to lift heavy objects.

FlipStar Gymnastics is like no other gymnastics club!

We are fortunate to have, not only one but, two great facilities! Our Rec Campus is completely dedicated to our recreational gymnasts, tumblers, and ninja stars with specialized equipment for learning the fundamentals of the sport. The Team Campus facility caters to the competitive gymnasts in the Xcel and Development Program via USAG. This is a state-of-the-art facility with soft landing surfaces for every event making it conducive for all levels to train higher level skills.

We are committed to providing the best experience for our kids regardless of which avenue they would like to explore in tumbling and/or gymnastics. Whether it be recreational or competitive (IHSA Gymnastics, Xcel, or DP), FlipStar is the gym for all kids!

Our coaches are selected based on their knowledge, experience and attitudes. They are all certified and highly-experienced/trained, so that our participants can have a safe, educational and fun time at FlipStar.

We are located right off of I-80 and route 30. Close to I-355 as well. Easy to get to/from Chicago, all suburbs, and Indiana.
