Requirements

Congregate Kitchen Staff Cook/ Worker

Supervision and Direction: Kitchen Staff/ Worker person will be under the direct supervision of the Kitchen Manager and will coordinate their daily activities and schedule with that person. They will comply with the established policies and procedures that may be imposed from time to time. In the absence of the kitchen Manager, another designated employee will be supervised and given direction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for performing the duties required to provide adequate and efficient housekeeping functions that ensure cleanliness of designated “kitchen responsibilities” areas, stairways, trash room, and other public areas as directed.

· To prepare 12:00 PM meal for all residents that request it when scheduled to be working.

· Assist in menu preparation.

· Wash all dishes, food prep utensils, and appliances used.

· Assist with ordering stock and cleaning supplies, and restocking shelves when supplies are received.

· Removal of kitchen trash.

· Assist residents with the removal of trash as needed.

· Sweep all public areas, stairways, halls, laundry rooms, building entrances, and trash rooms as directed.

· Sweep and/or mop areas as directed

· Dust as directed.

· Dust and wet rag the washers and dryers in laundry areas as directed.

· Washing of any dirty laundry created by the kitchen.

· Remove empty boxes and other trash in the designated areas.

· Report any issues or damages seen to management

· must be able to live 30 lbs.

· Attend mandatory meetings and seminars.

· Able to communicate orally in English.

· Must have access to reliable vehicle transportation for errands from the property.

· Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the kitchen manager and/or team management.
