Construction Manager

SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).

‬‬‬Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects related to disaster recovery, ensuring compliance with FEMA’s Public Assistance Program guidelines.
• Conduct detailed site inspections to assess damage and prepare recovery plans.
• Oversee contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of projects.
• Utilize FEMA’s Grants Portal to manage project documentation and maintain transparency.
• Prepare technical reports, including determination memorandums and appeals, to support disaster recovery funding.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement construction strategies.
• Stay current with FEMA policies, procedures, and training requirements.

Requirements

• Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field with 5 years of experience in a related field or
  • 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Completion of FEMA courses preferred:
  • IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
  • IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
  • IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
  • IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
  • IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
  • 7116: Program Delivery Manager
  • 7117: Site Inspection
• Strong understanding of construction management principles, building codes, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Work onsite in North Carolina.
• EOD Required.
