Contemporary Christian Musician - Part Time

Serving as the Contemporary Accompanist at the Hickam Chapel, our primary responsibility is to

provide music services to the contemporary congregation. Your work under this contract includes, but is

not limited to, the following:

• Attend two meetings each week consisting of one 90-minute rehearsal and one 60-minute

worship service per week; arrive at least 15 minutes before worship service to check that potential

coordination issues are properly addressed. Worship Service hours are Sundays, 9:00 AM –

10:00AM.

• work closely with the Contemporary Music Services. Music performed shall

be during rehearsals or actual worship service and may be in coordination with any combination

of other instrumentalists and/or choir/congregation. Musical ability to support contemporary style

worship music on the drums or guitar and a working knowledge of a wide range of music,

including Contemporary Christian music.

•  Maintain dress and grooming standards appropriate to the professional

environment.

• Be in attendance during the entire 60-minute rehearsal and 60-minute

worship service unless other mutually agreed to arrangements have been made with the COR

prior to the meeting.

• Provide additional support for two seasonal 60-minute worship services to include Easter Sunrise

and Christmas Eve. Upon request from the COR, provide music for funeral and wedding services

not to exceed 60 minutes under 3.16.1.

• When using music and music lyrics, Employee shall comply with copyright license reporting and

copyright license identification procedures.

• You will not accept donations for performing ministrations, sacraments, and ordinances,

which are performed under this contract. Such gifts, offerings and honorariums shall be deposited

in the Chapel Tithes and Offerings (CTOF) unless clearly outside the scope of this contract and

not associated with services rendered by this contract.

You will perform services on a part-time basis during Sunday Service and weekly

rehearsal, at the Hickam Chapel, JBPHH, Hawaii.

You will perform services on a part-time basis equal to approximately twelve (12) hours

per month, or six (6) hours per pay period.
