Job Title: Cook II
Job Type: Part-Time Flex
Pay Range: $20.32 - $22.00 pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
Work Hours: Flexible schedule depending on need

Responsibilities:
Coordinates with Executive Chef / Director of Food & Beverage to provide services and meals as needed for revenue generating programs & Special events.
Oversees the quality of the product produced for freshness, flavor, and guest age appropriateness.
Integrates vegetarian, special diet and gourmet preparations into all menu options.
Maintains all prepared food in label, dated and rotated protocol.
Maintains OSHA book relevant to kitchen chemicals and trains staff.
Maintains exemplary standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, walk-in and food pick up area including office and dry storage.
Actively participates in recycling program, composting, green materials use, organic garden, and other functions related to food service production projects.
Degree from accredited culinary school or the equivalent.
Current Food Handler Permit.
Previous experience in creative banquet style or catering style food service.
Knowledge of nutritional guidelines and food preparation for children, health and religious dietary restrictions, vegetarian options, and low calorie/health-conscious dietary plans.
Direct experience in preparing and implementing menus of all kinds.
Experience working with individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; excellent time-management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.
Must pass child safety screening and have direct experience with children.
Must be able to comply with and maintain a smoke free and drug free work environment.
Desired
Experience with volunteers, unique events, teaching, organic gardening, and composting.
Experience with school food service programs and reduced cost lunch program resources.
Expertise in a food specialty area such as baking, soups, trail food preparation, organic food preparation or other area.
