We are MERU. A values-driven, impact-oriented team dedicated to fixing companies. We provide advisory services and data analytics support to middle-market companies ($50M - $2B in annual sales), and our clients include private equity firms, credit funds, investment banks, and law firms. We bring deep turnaround experience, a group of veteran operators, and an incentive-aligned approach to any situation. MERU was founded by professionals from Alvarez & Marsal and McKinsey and has seen rapid growth in the eight-plus years since its founding.

You’ll work closely with the Marketing Director to coordinate campaigns, manage timelines, develop content, and support both external brand marketing and internal personnel-focused efforts. You will have ownership over some areas of the marketing function and be responsible for running initiatives on-own with direction and support from the Marketing Director and in collaboration with key stakeholders and internal teams.

    • Manage marketing calendars, timelines, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on track
    • Assist with content development and copywriting for emails, social media posts, presentations, and marketing materials
    • Create and edit marketing assets using Canva, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines
    • Manage and publish content on LinkedIn when needed, including scheduling posts and tracking basic performance metrics
    • Execute and manage email marketing campaigns in Mailchimp, including list management and reporting
    • Assist with events, including vendor communication, logistics, timelines, and follow-up
    • Support gifting initiatives for clients and internal stakeholders, including coordination and fulfillment
    • Maintain marketing trackers, budgets, and reporting using Excel and Google Sheets
    • Develop polished, on-brand presentations using PowerPoint
    • Track campaign performance and prepare basic reports and insights
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth execution across initiatives

Coordinator, Marketing Job Qualifications

    • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role
    • Proficiency in Canva for creating and editing marketing assets
    • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets for tracking and reporting
    • Microsoft Office 365: Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
    • Self-starter, proactive and positive mindset
    • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint
    • Experience with content development and copywriting, with the ability to adapt messaging across platforms
    • Hands-on experience managing LinkedIn content and engagement
    • Experience using Mailchimp for email marketing and list management
    • Experience coordinating event logistics and vendor relationships
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Detail-oriented with a collaborative, proactive working style

    • Nice to Have
    • Experience with CRM systems
    • Event or field marketing experience
    • B2B or professional services marketing experience

Why You’ll Love This Role:

    • Flexible, part-time schedule
    • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a wide range of marketing initiatives
    • Collaborative team environment with room to grow
$40 - $50 an hour
Rate will be based on relevant experience, competencies, and business needs.

To aid this career advancement and development, MERU provides an internal Coach to each team member in order to guide and maintain their professional development plan goals. Unlike most Firms, we actually focus on the achievement of those goals for each individual team member, providing opportunities that would not usually be offered.

Finally, MERU values personal time, only traveling when necessary in order to celebrate and respect your personal life. We believe that by encouraging and mandating balance, it will lead to happier and longer-tenured team members.
