Role
Responsible for providing competent credit analysis for lending activities, assistance in the administration of borrowing accounts, conduct appraisal reviews, training for business loan staff, and assistance in completion of special projects and assignments. Processes credit applications; verifies credit references and information; and determines credit limits. Prepares reports on the status of credit and collections, and other operating systems.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Completes a thorough, in-depth analysis of new commercial credit requests, credit change requests, renewals and annual relationship reviews. Recommend risk rating changes when analysis merits. Prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for lenders on new, renewal and existing loans. Reports findings to Credit Manager that may have an adverse effect on the loan collateral or the borrowers ability to repay the loan.
Perform regular and timely analysis on all loan portfolios related productivity metrics and recommend improvements to the portfolio or product lines. Compile and evaluate complex data gathered from multiple sources, reconcile differences, identifies key data and ensures a consistent, accurate, useful approach. Analyze all reports distributed to management for appropriate detail, relevance, trends, and accuracy. Accurately analyze and interpret the data to support reporting needs.
Completes loan work-ups, provide loan structure feedback and proper execution to ensure adequate enforceability of company's position for new and existing loans reviewed. This includes loan details, document review, financial copies, approvals, etc.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Knowledge and Skills
Ability to read and understand company financial reports Working knowledge of Advanced Excel
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
Ability to develop an opinion based on factual analysis and deliver a written and verbal opinion under stress.
Excellent technical, analytical, numerical, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and teamworking skills are also essential.
ADA Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
