Job Description - CTE Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher Part-time

Job Summary


The CTE ECE Teacher will provide high-quality instruction in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) pathway, preparing students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experiences needed for success in child development careers. This role includes developing lesson plans, teaching CTE ECE courses, and supporting student engagement and achievement in alignment with EPIC’s mission.


Key Responsibilities



  • Teach CTE Early Childhood Education courses to students in the ECE pathway.

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials aligned with CTE standards.

  • Incorporate industry standards, best practices, and workforce trends into classroom instruction.

  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to students pursuing careers in ECE.

  • Collaborate with EPIC Programs staff to ensure alignment with overall program goals.

  • Support student participation in internships, practicums, or work-based learning opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.

  • Create and foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

  • Participate in professional development and training activities as required.

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program leadership.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.

  • Valid CTE Credential in Early Childhood Education.

  • Teaching or training experience in ECE or related CTE pathway.

  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with curriculum development in ECE.

  • Prior experience working with high school or adult learners in a CTE program.

  • Familiarity with internship coordination and workforce development partnerships.


Working Conditions


Environment:



  • Indoor office/classroom work environment.

  • Driving a vehicle to conduct work.

  • Facility to drive a vehicle.


Other Requirements:



  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Valid California Driver’s License.

  • Proof of automobile insurance coverage.
