Job Description - Custodian/Maintenance

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including both routine cleaning and specialized tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.

Carry out painting tasks as needed to enhance the appearance of facilities.

Assist with commercial cleaning projects, ensuring adherence to Department of Health standards and regulations

Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and performing deep cleaning as required.

Support facilities maintenance efforts by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing custodial duties.

Qualifications

Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is required

Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment

Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving items as necessary.

The ability to pass a Department of Health background check
