Job Description - Customer Experience Associate (part-time)

Location: Matthews, NC (must reside in metro Charlotte, NC area)



Hours: 20-25 hours per week



Status: Non-exempt



About the Role


The Customer Experience Associate plays a vital role in delivering exceptional support to both internal and external audiences. This position ensures that all interactions reflect the values of Proverbs 31 Ministries, meet established quality standards, and contribute to a positive customer journey. By supporting the delivery of biblical content and resources, this role helps fulfill the ministry’s vision to eradicate biblical poverty and reach women with God’s truth around the world.



What You'll Do



  • Respond to customer service inquiries across departments through various means of communication, including P31’s ticketing system, chat and phone support. 

  • Assign customer service inquiries to other departments as appropriate. 

  • Process returned or damaged inventory and communicate with customers. 

  • Complete various tasks within the e-commerce platform, including troubleshooting orders and updating customer records. 

  • Perform functions within the inventory management system. 

  • Assist with processing internal and external mailing and shipping requests. 

  • Provide training and support to staff on customer experience systems, procedures, and best practices. 

  • Provide front desk coverage on a weekly basis.

  • Assist the Sr. Operations Specialist with reporting and special projects as assigned. 

  • Cross-train within the Operations Department to provide flexible support as needed. 

  • Attend weekly team meetings, bi-weekly staff meetings, and bi-monthly Finance & Operations meetings. 



What You'll Bring



  • An understanding of and a commitment to the mission and values of Proverbs 31 Ministries. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer support or service-related role.  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with a consistent focus on customer satisfaction.

  • Highly adaptable, with a willingness to learn new skills, processes, and tools.

  • Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite. 

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and customer needs.

  • Team oriented, highly motivated, proactive, with a positive attitude, and strong work ethic.

  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

  • Occasional light lifting as needed (up to 20 lbs).
