Dance Instructor/Coach

Pay: $10.17/Hour

Position Type: part-time

We have various sports and programming available throughout the year for kids age 3 through elementary school. This position is responsible for teaching fundamentals of various types of dance. Must work well with children and be able to create basic choreography.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of basic dance skills and personal experience in dance are required. Teaching experience in dance is preferred.
• Must be energetic and enjoy working with kids in a fun and fast-paced environment.
• Must be sensitive to the needs of individuals and have the ability to build rapport with participants and parents.
• Self-confidence, strong communication skills, and the ability to enforce rules impartially, consistently and calmly.
• Must exhibit the Y core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring.

Certifications:

• CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
