Environmental Compliance Consultants, Inc. (ECC) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Data Entry Technician to join our team at Fort Greely, near Delta Junction, Alaska. In this part-time, year-round role (30 hours per week), you’ll play a key part in supporting our environmental and industrial services operations by managing waste and materials data within a federal government database system. Requirements

Key Responsibilities May Included: 

  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain environmental waste and materials data in government databases and internal systems.
  • Review and verify source documentation to ensure data accuracy and completeness prior to entry.
  • Generate, format, and distribute scheduled and ad hoc reports for internal teams and external clients.
  • Maintain well-organized physical and digital filing systems in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Answer incoming phone calls professionally, take and log work orders, and route information to appropriate personnel. 
  • Provide administrative support to the Site Manager, including data collection, documentation, scheduling, and other clerical tasks. 
  • Support compliance efforts by tracking waste shipments, container information, profiles, and regulatory documentation.
  • Respond promptly to data inquiries from team members, project managers, and clients.
  • Assist in general site and warehouse activities including inventory tracking, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
  • Adhere strictly to all ECC and site-specific health and safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
  • Deliver courteous, professional customer service in all interactions with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by fostering a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain compliance with ECC’s drug-free workplace policy, which includes the prohibition of recreational and medicinal marijuana use both on and off work.
  • Perform assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision, while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in response to shifting priorities or urgent needs.
  • Assist with data audits, discrepancy resolution, and process improvements to enhance data integrity and workflow efficiency. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in data entry, administrative support, or records management preferred. 
  • Exceptional computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., data sorting, filtering, and validation) and Word for document preparation and reporting.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to specialized databases, including those used for waste tracking and compliance documentation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and quality control.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with internal teams, and clients.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance or credentials required for access to Fort Greely and databases.
  • Willingness to complete background checks, pre-employment drug testing, and compliance training necessary for federal contract work.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
