Harrington Family Health Center, a federally qualified health center, is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Cleaning Professional to join our team! In this role, you will be the primary point of contact to ensure facilities cleanliness, helping to ensure patients and employees enter a clean and welcoming environment.  

Role Overview 

As a Part-time Cleaning Professional, you will work to implement infection control measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and employees. This position will require frequent cleaning of high touch areas in the public rooms of the Health Center to prevent contamination and spread of germs. The position will require regular routine cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, and general upkeep of the common high traffic areas to ensure a professional, clean appearance is maintained throughout the Health Center. This position requires a firm knowledge of basic cleaning requirements and understanding of the guidelines to maintain a sterile environment.  

This position is vital in ensuring that our health center is adequately sterilized and maintains a welcoming appearance, enhancing patient and employee overall experience at Harrington Family Health Center. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Cleaning Professional 

• Implement and comply with infection control measures to ensure a safe and healthy Health Center.  

• Complete frequent cleaning throughout the high traffic areas including handrails, chairs, etc.  

• Be available to assist co-workers with occasional spills, storm related foot debris, and any other incidents that may occur.  

• Administrative Duties 

• Maintain cleaning documentation as required by your supervisor in accordance with Health Center standards.  

• Maintain high confidentiality and compliance with all policies and procedures. 

Requirements & Qualifications 

• Qualifications 

• Knowledgeable in cleaning and sterilization best practices or willing to learn. and physically able to complete duties that require long periods of standing, sitting, stretching, arm lifting, etc.  

• Physically able to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis.  

• Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor when working with co-workers and contractors.  

• Must be able to pass a background check.  

• Education 

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.  

• Experience cleaning in a healthcare setting preferred but not required. 

Job Type 

• Part-time  

• 20 hours per week 

• 5-hour shifts Monday through Friday during business hours 

Compensation 

• $16.50 per hour
