Deli Clerk - Part-Time

The Deli Clerk serves as a frontline representative of Stoltzfus Meats, providing attentive and knowledgeable customer service at the deli counter. This role is responsible for preparing, packaging, and presenting deli products in accordance with company quality standards and food safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers promptly and professionally at the deli counter


• Accurately take customer orders and fulfill requests according to specifications


• Prepare, portion, wrap, and label deli products in accordance with company standards


• Maintain attractive, well-stocked, and properly rotated product displays


• Monitor product freshness and remove items that do not meet quality standards


• Follow established food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures


• Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries as needed


• Keep scales and display case clean and organized


• Answer customer questions regarding product ingredients, preparation methods, and recommendations


• Support team members to maintain efficient workflow during peak hours

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or food service experience preferred


• Ability to follow food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures


• Strong verbal communication skills


• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment


• Attention to detail and product presentation


• Team-oriented with a positive attitude


• Dependable attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds


• Ability to bend, reach, and move product throughout the shift


• Ability to work in refrigerated environments


• Ability to safely operate basic food preparation equipment
