Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and caring Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will provide assistance to the dentist during exams and procedures and complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate has previous experience as a Dental Assistant. We are looking for an assistant that is friendly, outgoing, and works well with others in an effort to create a comfortable dental experience for our patients. A $750 retention bonus is available.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable

Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have

Take vital signs and accurately record medical history

Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures

Assist the dentist during procedures and exams

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies

Schedule appointments

Qualifications

Strong computer and data entry skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to provide high-quality patient care

Compensation: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Dr. Michael McGarvey is originally from Troy N.Y. He enjoys spending time with his wife Margaret, and his five sons; Dan, Patrick, Jimmy, Joe, and Phil. Dr. McGarvey also enjoys playing golf, watching Mets baseball, managing his fantasy baseball team, reading, and tending to his tomato garden.

Dr. McGarvey is dedicated to helping the next generation of dentists by teaching at St. Josephs Hospital
