Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and caring Dental Assistant to join our team! As a Dental Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will provide assistance to the dentist during exams and procedures and complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate has an associate's degree from a certified school and previous experience as a Dental Assistant. If you’re friendly, outgoing, and committed to creating a fantastic dental experience, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable.

Educate patients on treatment plans and answer any questions and concerns.

Take vital signs and accurately record medical history.

Prepare and sterilize dental equipment and instruments.

Monitor patient comfort during procedures

Assist the dentist during procedures and exams.

Maintain accurate records and treatment notes.

Prepare dental material for use.

Manage inventory and restock materials as needed.

Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.

Provide chairside assistance, anticipating the dentists needs.

Schedule appointments.

Participate in post-operative care and follow-up.

Take x-rays

Qualifications
Coronal Polishing
Radiograph license

certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation

Strong computer and data entry skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to provide high-quality patient care

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi task effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as a team.

Time management and able to prioritize the day.

Able to work both the front and back office.

Spanish speaking.

Proficient in Dentrix software

Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

As a general dentist with extensive training in innovative treatments, Mailene Soyster, DDS is known for her effective, yet gentle techniques. Her office at Gregory Ln. Family & Implant Dental Practice in Pleasant Hill, California boasts state-of-the-art tools and equipment in a relaxing patient-friendly environment. The clinic is convenient to the Concord, Four Corners, Pacheco, and Walnut Creek communities.

After earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from State University of New York in Buffalo, Dr. Soyster went through her required hands-on training, completing her residency in general practice at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Dr. Soyster holds professional memberships from the Academy of General Dentistry, the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

Because she is a mother of three young children, Dr. Soyster loves working with kids and their parents.
