Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, facilitating communication between patients and dental staff, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in/check-out process efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar to optimize patient flow.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing.
- Maintain accurate patient records using eClinicalWorks software and ensure compliance with health information management protocols.
- Handle phone inquiries, respond to patient questions, and provide information about services offered.
- Process patient payments and maintain financial records in accordance with office policies.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area to enhance the patient experience.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure effective communication regarding patient needs and treatment plans.
Experience
- Prior experience in medical administrative support or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, and health information management practices is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using phone systems and managing multiple lines effectively.
- Experience with medical office management practices, particularly within a dental setting, is a plus.
- Knowledge of Dentrix or similar electronic health record systems is highly desirable.
