Dental Patient Service Rep (part-time)

Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualified community health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of Our Community” provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care. We are currently seeking a professional and motivated Dental Patient Service Rep that enjoys working with culturally diverse children and families in providing comprehensive patient care.

Dental Patient Service Rep Summary:

The Dental Patient Service Rep will facilitate efficient processes for reception, patient registration and clerical services that support the operation of the dental center. This position is responsible for the daily operation of registration for existing and new patients according to policies and procedures; facilitate patient flow, patient information, co-payment collection, and insurance verification.

Schedule: 8 hour day shifts Mon, Wed, Fri (24 hours per week)

Pay Range: $20.50 – $23.50 per hour

*The pay range represents HealthFirst’s good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting, in compliance with applicable laws. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and budget considerations. Candidates with less direct experience may be placed at the lower end of the range, while those with more significant or specialized experience may be considered at the higher end.

Benefits:

Required Qualifications: 

1. Must submit a CORI release form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 
3. Certification for Dental Assistant, Medical Office or Medical Secretary preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of dental insurance coverages.
5. Experience working with Epic Wisdom is a strong plus.
6. Experience working with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
7. Experience working in a dental environment within reception or registration preferred.
8. Bilingual skills (English, Spanish/Portuguese) preferred.
