Dietary Aide

Description

San Luis Post Acute Center is a lovely Skilled Nursing Facility located in San Luis Obispo, California.  We are looking for a Full time Dietary Aide.  

This position will:

Assist cook in the prep and serving of meals

Assist with meal service and the delivery of plates to the resident tables.

Inventory stocking and storage organization.

Ability to stand for long periods and stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to follow oral and written communications

Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to keep kitchen area and equipment sanitized and sterile.

Dishwashing

Emptying of waste containers.

Attend staff and in-service meetings.

Performs other duties as necessary or assigned

Experience with institutional food preparation desired

Be willing to be cross-trained and function into other work areas of nutrition services

Performs duties per schedule.

Starting wage $18.40/hr

Requirements

• High school graduate preferred.  
• Has good verbal skills in English and demonstrates capability to work effectively with all employees.
• Demonstrates interest and ability to work effectively with geriatric and disabled persons.  
• Demonstrates an enthusiastic personality 
• Willingness to perform a variety of simple repetitive tasks and maintain patience and tact.
