Dietary Aide Part Time

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Dietary Aide  with evening and weekend availability to join our team in Traverse City, Michigan; United States. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents receive high-quality, nutritious meals in a clean and welcoming environment.

• Assist in meal preparation, following established recipes and dietary guidelines
• Set up dining areas and prepare meal trays on the meal tray line according to residents' specific dietary needs
• Serve meals to resident areas in a friendly and professional manner
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas
• Maintain proper food storage and handling practices to ensure food safety
• Record and monitor food temperatures to comply with health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service
• Assist in stocking and organizing food supplies and kitchen inventory
• Support special dietary requirements and accommodate individual resident preferences
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for menu planning and service improvements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous food service experience preferred 
• Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with residents and staff
• Genuine desire to work with and support geriatric residents
• Ability to follow directions accurately and complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
• Strong multitasking abilities and prioritization skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• ServSafe certification desirable
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Empathetic and patient demeanor with a customer-focused attitude
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and resident needs

Hourly Wage: $19.00-$21.00
