Dietary- Utility Aide

Here, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals in a clean and efficient dining service. Founded in 1977, Little Flower Manor is a non-profit 127-bed nursing home offering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care options. Situated on beautifully landscaped grounds, our facility is known for its friendly and compassionate services throughout the surrounding communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Sanitation:
  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Sweep, mop, and scrub floors, walls, and ceilings in the dietary department.
  • Empty trash and recycle bins.
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing dining areas.
• Food Service:
  • Assist with food preparation, serving, and cleanup.
  • Help set up and break down meal service areas.
  • Distribute food trays to residents.
  • Assist residents with feeding, as needed.
• Inventory and Supply Management:
  • Assist with inventory control of food supplies and equipment.
  • Stock kitchen shelves and refrigerators.
  • Order supplies as needed.
• General Duties:
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements (Very Heavy):

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stoop.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in a food service environment a plus.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic with a positive and reliable attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
