The Digital Learning Specialist supports teachers, students, and administrators in the use of educational technology to enhance teaching and learning. This hands-on role focuses on daily support, training, and troubleshooting in the use of blended learning tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Support
Facilitate online professional development courses for effective integration of digital tools
Attend grade-level meetings to offer input on technology use to align with curriculum needs.
Support educators in the classroom, modelling effective blended learning strategies
Assist in the development of lesson resources and training materials to support digital instruction.
Technical & Platform Support
Support setup, use, and maintenance of digital platforms for students and teachers.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to digital instruction tools and escalate complex issues to the Coordinator.
Review LMS to maintain minimum requirement for district course architecture and district lesson plans
Assessment & Reporting
Support online assessment setup and administration, including MCAS, MAP, and ACCESS testing.
Help collect and organize data for evaluating technology integration and usage.
Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional technology, or a related field.
Experience in classroom instruction or instructional support preferred.
Familiarity with Clever, Schoology, Google Workspace for Education, or other digital learning tools.
Detail oriented with strong organizational and planning skills to meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred certifications: ISTE Certified Educator, Google Certified Educator
Reports to: Digital Learning Coordinator
Schedule: Part-time school year position, 25 hours/week
