Rate: $20/hour plus mileage reimbursement when travelling with participants
Schedule: Flexible Part Time shifts averaging 2 to 8 hours depending on assignment
Service Location: Support is provided at the individual's home and on community outings
Assignment Travel Time: Local travel within 1 hour of your home (assignments available in all areas of NJ)
About the Role
Hopes Promise Respite is looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSP) who are ready to bring their skills where they're needed to support adults with developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you’ll make a meaningful difference every day—helping individuals live more independently, engage in their communities, and achieve their personal goals.
This part time role involves local travel within an hour of your home.
What You’ll Do
- Travel to different participant homes to deliver respectful person-centered support
- Build meaningful relationships with individuals, families, and team members
- Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion in every interaction
- Assist with daily living activities as needed (meals, hygiene, mobility, etc.)
- Support community participation, recreation, and skill-building
- Follow individualized care plans and document progress
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment
- Document services and maintain compliance with all program standards

What We're Looking For

- Flexibility to travel locally up to 1 hour from your home
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
