Job Summary

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with transporting clients to work, support them while in the job, assist them with community integration, and life skills assistance and other tasks that improve the client’s living environment and standards. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and reliable.

Responsibilities

Assist with transporting clients in to events in the community

Transporting clients to work

Assist clients employment related tasks such as resume development and mock interviews

Provide day to day supervision

Computer skills to assist clients with applying to jobs online

Ability to write clear and legible for note taking of clients progress

Qualifications

Previous experience as a job coach, Direct Support Staff, Caregiver, Home Health, or similar role is preferred but not required

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Fully Vaccinated

Knowledge of basic computer skills

Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Must have valid Drivers license

ValidCPR/First Aid Card

Compassionate, respectful, ethical

Updated TB test

Compensation: $17.00 per hour

Excellence Community Rehabilitation Program is a Community based rehabilitation and vocational program for youth and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program provides assessment services, training services, job-related services, support services, and wellness. We are committed to providing excellent services and excellent outcomes in a healthy safe environment.

Mission

The purpose of Excellence Community Rehabilitation Program (ECRP) is to provide employment-related services for people with developmental disabilities. ECRP services include pre-employment training, job search training, employment workshops, internships and employment services.

Community-based, ECRP seeks to help participants acquire a skill-set that is needed for the workforce and the responsibilities of life. ECRP also seeks to increase each participant's awareness of their independence by allowing participants to make their own work-related decisions and supporting them in the process.
