Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Personal Training to lead and grow our personal training program within our outpatient sports clinic. This individual will be responsible for developing individualized training programs, collaborating with physical therapists, and ensuring the highest standard of care for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports performance, injury prevention, and post-rehabilitation training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop individualized and group training programs for clients, including post-rehabilitation, injury prevention, and athletic performance optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapists to create seamless transitions from rehabilitation to performance training.
  • Monitor client progress, provide feedback, and adjust programs as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols, including proper exercise techniques and equipment use.
  • Contribute to marketing and business development efforts to expand the personal training program.
  • Maintain accurate client records, schedules, and program documentation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and best practices in personal training and sports performance.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through a recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACSM, NSCA).
  • Strong background in sports performance, corrective exercise, and post-rehabilitation training.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a team of trainers or fitness professionals.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • CPR/AED certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or other advanced certifications.
  • Experience working in outpatient physical therapy or sports medicine environments.
  • Knowledge of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and functional movement assessment.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $30-$34 per hour. Salary is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The Company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are also available, subject to the terms of the Company's plan.
