Discipleship Ministries Coordinator

The Story’s Discipleship Ministries Coordinator is fully committed to Jesus and intensely motivated to inspire non-religious people to follow Jesus. This individual is a goal-oriented self-starter who understands that the goals of Christian leadership are 1) to serve and not to be served, 2) to empower others to do the work of God’s kingdom, and 3) to become a leader who raises up leaders who raise up leaders. This person will report to the Pastor of Discipleship, and is part time role requiring 15-20 hours a week.

Duties for this position include:

Assistance with Discipleship Groups:

• Assist with Sunday morning and Wednesday night programming in person at the church
• Work with the Discipleship Pastor in receiving requests and placing new people into Story discipleship groups
• Coordinate groups registration events at the start of new seasons in August and January
• Connect with congregants through email, phone calls, or in person meetings to discover their needs and place them in new groups
• Organize and distribute discipleship materials for participants and leaders

Other Responsibilities:

• Help Discipleship Pastor plan and execute Story retreats and guest speakers
• Database management on Fellowship One
• Organize catering orders for weekly large group events
• Participate in staff meetings and relevant church wide events

Education: Completed or pursuing Bachelor’s degree

Compensation: Part time position, salary based on experience
Hours: 15-20/week
