Tacoma Country & Golf Club is as proud of our past as we are excited about our future. Dating back to 1894, Tacoma Country & Golf Club has been occupying this beautiful property on the shores of American Lake. TCGC is the oldest established Golf Club West of the Mississippi.
Golf is central to the member experience at Tacoma Country & Golf Club. We feature an 18-hole championship golf course that stretches beyond 6,900-yards from the back tees. Accomplished players will love the test they find on our links, while players of all skill levels will find a playable course that is enjoyable round after round. In addition to the course itself, our members enjoy access to one of the finest practice facilities in the region.
Other amenities include a dining room and lounge, a competition size swimming pool, a boat dock on American Lake, tennis courts, and more!
Position Summary
The Dishwasher is a key member of the culinary team, responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. This role supports chefs, cooks, and service staff by ensuring all dishes, utensils, equipment, and work areas are cleaned and sanitized according to club standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, efficient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
· Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, prep surfaces, sinks, and storage areas.
· Assist with waste disposal, recycling, and proper handling of chemicals.
· Organize and store clean dishes and equipment in designated areas.
· Support kitchen staff with basic prep tasks as needed (e.g., unloading deliveries, stocking supplies).
· Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
· Communicate effectively with chefs and cooks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
· Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
· Uphold the club’s standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and hospitality.
Job qualifications/skills:
· Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs for extended periods.
· Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
· Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Ability to satisfy a criminal background check
Pay & Benefits
Pay: $20.00-20.00per hour
Holiday Bonus: Participation in the Club’s employee holiday bonus fund
401K: Offer of participation in the Club’s 401k plan as eligible
Paid Time Off: 1 hour per 40 hours worked in the first year, then subject to accrual in the employee handbook.
Golf Perks: golfing privileges on Mondays, according to course availability
Shift Meals: $1 meals each shift
