The Distribution Courier is responsible for the prompt, secure, and efficient delivery of letters, packages, and documents to various Heritage Health locations. This role requires exceptional customer service and strong communication skills, as regular interaction with team members and recipients is an integral part of the position.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. 

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience as a courier or mailroom attendant, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must meet Heritage Health Qualified Driver Policy
• Must have and maintain reliable transportation

Essential Duties:

• Collect, sort, and organize mail and packages for distribution.
• Operate postage machines to stamp and seal envelopes.
• Deliver and pick up mail at multiple Heritage health locations.
• Assist with various administrative tasks such as printing, copying, and special projects.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations regarding sensitive information.
• Provide ongoing proof of auto insurance and maintain reliable transportation.
• Comply with all applicable safety and transportation regulations. 
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, as it is an essential function of the role.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, patients, external organizations, and the public. 
• Ability to accurately read, interpret, and route mail and packages.

• Service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Job Overview:

Working Conditions: This position primarily involves work within an enclosed vehicle, with regular exposure to varying outdoor weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures. Daily responsibilities may require frequent transitions between indoor and outdoor environments. The work environment can be fast-paced and occasionally chaotic. The role may also involve interaction with patients who present a range of contagious illnesses, physical injuries, and varying emotional states.

Physical/Mental Requirements: 

• Must be physically capable of regular walking, kneeling, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Must be able to navigate and access various departments within each facility.
• Comfortable working in noisy, high-stress environments while maintaining focus and composure.
• Must adhere to established processes and protocols consistently.
