Distribution Dispatcher Associate

Experis, a division of ManpowerGroup, has partnered with an American company within the electrical utility industry. Looking for a Distribution Dispatcher Associate to work a rotating schedule, onsite, in Fort Wayne, IN.  This is an entry level position providing sustainability, working a 12-month contract with intention to convert to FTE/perm & opportunity for growth.



Job Title: Distribution Dispatcher Associate

Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46802

Pay Rate: $33.57/hr

Duration: 12 months (potential to convert)

Schedule: Fully Onsite, Rotating Shifts (24/7 Operation), typically 40-Hr a week.



What’s the Job?

• Responsible for assisting in the safe and reliable operation, dispatching, and restoration of facilities for the client's Distribution System as assigned.
  
• Responsible for tracking crew locations and ongoing work on Distribution Systems.
  
• Dispatch service personnel to respond to outage and emergency situations.
  
• Authorize the energizing and restoration of distribution facilities.
  
• Maintain accurate outage records.
  
• Maintain accurate records of abnormal and defective equipment for distribution facilities.
  

What’s Needed?

• Associate degree in electrical or electronic technology OR Bachelor degree in any related fields and/or experience.
  
• Must be able to work under pressure during periods of critical system conditions and deal with diverse situations simultaneously.
  
• Critical decisions must be made affecting reliability and priority of service to customers.
  
• Ability to pass REQUIRED Pre-Employment tests: Support and Administrative (SASS) Basic Data Entry & System Oper Power Dispatching (SOPD) [Testing Registration Provided]
