JOB TITLE: Dog Daycare Coach / Attendant

JOB TYPE: Part Time ONLY – 15 hrs to 32 hrs/week

PAY SCALE: $13.50 - $16.00 DOE – We compensate employees based on their performance and experience, not on assumptions about their worth. Industry experience is valued, but new hires must prove themselves before receiving compensation accordingly.

LOCATION: 46926 Magellan Dr., Wixom, MI 48393

A Dog Daycare Attendant is responsible for the safety, well-being, and care of the dogs in their charge. This includes feeding, watering, walking, grooming, cleaning, and supervising play areas. They also ensure that the environment is clean, sanitary, and free of hazards, and report any concerns to management.

Key Responsibilities:

Animal Care:

Feeding, watering, walking, bathing, and administering medications as needed.

Supervision:

Supervising dogs in playgroups to ensure their safety and well-being, monitoring play levels, and controlling the play environment.

Cleanliness:

Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, including kennels, play areas, and equipment.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining records of feeding, daycare, enrichment activities, and walking schedules for each dog, and reporting any changes in a dog's health or behavior to the owner or management.

Customer Service:

Greet clients, answer phone calls, and provide general assistance to customers.

Teamwork:

Collaborating with other staff members to ensure smooth operation and communication.

Additional Tasks:

Bathing and grooming; laundry and dishwashing; preparing meals and administering medications; training dogs (if requested by management); and performing light receptionist duties.

Requirements and Qualifications:

§ High school diploma or GED.

§ Minimum of 18 years old.

§ Prior experience with animals, preferably in a dog daycare or shelter setting.

§ Familiarity with different dog breeds.

§ Passion for animal care.

§ Teamwork and communication skills.

§ Physical stamina for cleaning and maintaining kennels.

§ Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
