Job Description - Dog Daycare Attendant Wanted

We are looking for people who are passionate about dogs to join our team! While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate. New hires will be put through an online training through Pack Pro and we will pay for your K9 first aid certificate.

The responsibilities of our daycare handlers are as follows:

responsible for the hands-on custody and care of the dogs in our pack.

responsible for ensuring dogs are separated based on size and temperament into one of four enclosures.

must be able to mitigate "incidents" by monitoring dogs for signs of anxiety, stress or overstimulation.

must ensure all dogs are safely secured in pens at all times.

responsible for communicating behavioral or health issues about the dogs to members of management.

responsible for ensuring each dog on a feeding schedule is fed timely and appropriately.

responsible for communicating any sort of safety or maintenance issue to management promptly.

expected to be punctual and adhere to the policy outlined in the Employee Handbook regarding "Meals and Rest Periods".

must be polite and courteous to other staff members and clients.

responsible for maintaining a clean and odor free facility including the prompt recovery and removal of dog wastes.

responsible for ensuring dogs have ample opportunities to relieve themselves outside.

responsible for ensuring dogs always have access to clean and fresh water.

responsible for assisting management in confirming the daily dog attendance sheet is accurate.

expected to communicate with other staff members regarding issues in and among the pack in order to facilitate a smooth transition between shift changes.

expected to ensure the correct dogs are loaded safety onto our vehicles for the "end of day drops".

expected to respond timely to emails/texts from management.

consistent attendance is expected.

responsible for disinfecting the outdoor dog pens at the end of the day with the wysiwash.

responsible for ensuring the common areas clean and clutter free.

responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dog bowls daily.

Please wear appropriate clothing as we will be outside in all but the most severe weather. Open toed shoes are prohibited.

Compensation: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

At our doggie daycare in Beverly, MA, we have 2,000 square feet of clean, indoor space with three separate play areas plus a 2,500 square-foot fenced yard for outdoor play and bathroom breaks!
