Direct Support Professional (DSP)

DSP's provide personalized care, promote independence, and ensure a safe, supportive environment. Key responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, medication administration, transportation, and documentation of progress.

DSP Schedule, Location, Pay:

• Saturday 8a-3p *every other weekend

Location: Woodbury, MN

Rate of Pay: $26/hour

What You Bring as a DSP:

**Only qualified individuals will be contacted to interview for the position**

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant work experience
• 1 year of experience working with Autism and challenging behaviors
• Physically able to exert body throughout the day (walking, running, lifting, bending)
• Experience de escalating individuals who are prone to property destruction and physical and verbal aggression
• Ability to read, write and speak English at a level that meets the performance requirements; or must be able to communicate in the language spoken by the individual at a level that meets the performance requirements; whichever is deemed more important by the company.
• Ability to work independently with minimal instruction and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to meet licensing requirements of the state and county
• Ability to effectively use a computer/tablet, calculator, household appliances, smoke alarms, etc. with training
