FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:

@Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide care, Monday through Friday 7:00am – 11:00am &  2:00pm – 6:00pm.  This would be for two females, one with an intellectual disability and one who is physically disabled, in the Lake Charles area.

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for the physical care of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be 18 years of age or older


2. Valid Driver’s License or Valid ID


3. Working Cell Phone with Data Plan (MUST be able to download company apps)


4. Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report


5. Commitment to excellent client care


6. Must have Patience, Compassion, Positive Attitude, and be a Team Player

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Light Housekeeping


2. Assist with Cooking


3. Assist with Shopping


4. Assist with Bathing/Dressing


5. Meal Prep


6. Monitoring

PAY:

$9.00 per hour

SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday

7:00am – 11:00am & 2pm – 6pm
