Dwellings Gen Z Residency

The vision of the Dwellings Residency is to invite 4 members of Generation Z to be a part of the Dwellings community that is centered around the presence of Jesus. Our hope is to have these residents experience this kind of Jesus centered community, then learn to be cultivators of communities in their own spheres of influence around the presence of Jesus. We believe that the world is in need of Jesus and so many are craving to be known and loved. We believe that empowering the next generation of Christ followers to create close-knit, authentic, communities around the presence of Jesus will change the world.

Time: September 2, 2025 - May 22, 2026

Hours:

• 20 hours a week committed to Dwellings specifically
  • Tuesday, Thursday participating with the Dwellings staff team
  • Participate in the Dwellings Cohort
  • Participate in one of the house churches in our house church hub in Arkansas
  • Meet once a month with our therapist, Madison (spiritual counsel and direction)

Pay:

• Raise $20,000 total for salary
  • Residents will get a part time job while they are living in Little Rock, AR to help cover cost of living and foster relationships to share the gospel

Housing:

• Residents will be responsible for finding and paying for their own housing out of funds from their support raised or from their part time jobs
• UK residents will have housing covered by Dwellings

Goals:

• We desire for our residents to experience the shift from isolation to spiritual family among a community of believers
  • Each resident will participate in a house church, first being immersed in our house church culture, then contributing their specific gifting to the church (teaching, leading worship, discipling kids)
  • We will assign each of our residents to a spiritual family, where once a month they have a meal with that family and have a place to experience a deeper spiritual family.
  • During the second half of the year, we will help each resident cultivate their own “family” around the presence of Jesus through relationships that they build with others in the world around them (ie. neighbors, co-workers from their part time job, friends they make at the gym, etc.) This can be done as a group with other residents or individually.
    • Start an Alpha community
    • Build a community around the presence of Jesus

• We desire for our residents to make the shift from a place of taking in information to true transformation
  • We desire for our residents to use their exact season of life and position of influence to be winsome for Jesus (ie. single, married, male, female, specific gifting)
  • We desire for our residents to grow in their spiritual formation and spiritual gifts
  • We desire for our residents to see the beauty in the joys and sorrows of their own personal journeys and understand how God can use their stories to connect them to a longing world in need of Jesus

• We desire for our residents to make the shift from being only spectators to active participants in the mission of God
  • We desire for our residents to learn to hear the voice of the Lord and listen to him through quick obedience
  • We desire for our residents to learn and understand their spiritual gifting so that God can use them to create a safe space for a lost world under the name of Jesus
  • We desire for our residents to dream on behalf of the Kingdom, asking God for more than we could ask or imagine. We want to dream his dreams for his Kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven through Generation Z
