Early Childhood Before & After School Staff (part-time, $16.50-$18.50/hour)

ABOUT US

Schaumburg Park District is an award-winning parks and recreation agency that provides its 80,000 residents with a wide variety of recreational programs, classes, and events as well as facilities, parks and open spaces. Our Early Childhood Preschool is home to 11 classrooms of high-quality pre-kindergarten education for 2.5 - 4-year-old in addition to a wide variety of early childhood programming, summer camps, parties and special events. New this year we have introduced before and after school care!

JOB SUMMARY

The first five years for young children are the most formative and vital to social, emotional and physical development. In this role, you would be responsible for creating and organizing fun engaging activities and leading a wide variety of recreational activities for participants aged 2.5 to 5.

QUALIFICATIONS

The best applicants will love working with children (some prior experience is a must), demonstrate regular and reliable attendance, be self-directed but also work well with others, and present themselves as a good positive role model.

SCHEDULING & PAY

This is a school-year position, September through May. The shift times available for this position are Monday-Friday 7:30am-9am and/or 2:45pm-5pm. Occasional weekend work may be required based on special events. There is an option available for summer hours if interested in working year-round. The hiring rate for this position is $16.50 - $18.50 an hour depending on qualifications (DOQ).
